Oh my... I'm on my 1st crochet stitches too! Have been trying to get the hang of this for years, since my teens, and ever managed to learn it! Just seemed sooo complicated, I always ended up throwing everything on the garbage tin after lots of frustrations when I simply couldn't get to have uniform stitches.
BUT now it's changing! Fortunately! :) I can see some progress, slowly and hopefully, I''ll be the next on joining this new trend! Lol.

Love, love, love it. I am contemplating the granny stripe too. I just finished my ripple and have started on a summer garden granny blanket. Like Lucy, you can't have too many.
